Hello!! I've been wondering for a while about how elder emos feel about this generations of emo/scene etc... I'm curious about your opinions like is there some things that you enjoy/dislike? Do you think there's been some kind of change? I'm curious about what you guys think, so I'll be happy if someone replies to this since I would like to know about your thoughts. Thx :)

This is just one guys opinion, but it's nice seeing a lot of younger people getting into some of the stuff that me and my friends used to be into. I work as a shop teacher in a middle school so seeing kids wearing invader Zim, pierce the veil, Tripp, etc automaticaly gives me a way to relate to a student which can be a bit difficult at times. The other side of the coin is that I get to see hot topic in a similar fashion to how it was in 2000,5,6,7 etc.
As far as the headspace goes I will admit that younger emo enjoyers seem to be in a bit more of a positive mindset. I think this is an advantage over the older emo crowd because things like depression and self harm ran rampant for a long time.
Sorry about the wall of text, but the last thing I want to say is enjoy yourself and have fun building a community.

I’m so happy to see a new generation of Emos! It also seems to be more diverse this time around. I got so much shit for being different back then even from fellow alternative individuals like myself. So it warms my heart to see Emos from all different types of backgrounds . There’s nothing I dislike about them it’s all love from here rawr <3
