This is a thought piece rather than an actual question.
IF you had to get a gun in .40 what gun would you want it to be? For the sake of the question assume this will block access to a 9mm version of the same pistol later on.
For me i would probably either go with the sig p226 or a kel-tech s2000

Glock 23 or 27 depending on your preference. 27 would carry better generally, 23 for quicker follow up shots and capacity bump. Glock because yes, boring. Yes, ugly. Yes, mushy trigger. Yes, go bang. The last is the highest of importance to me personally.
