The Catcher in the Rye - Opinions?

I know the quality of The Catcher in the Rye has been an extremely debated topic for ages. I just finished reading the book recently and absolutely loved it. I even liked the ending, although I've heard negative things on it; I personally thought that it was sweet, a nice contrast to the rest of the book being all depressing and gloomy. I would adore hearing others' opinions on the matter! Did you like the way Holden narrated the story? What would you change if you could rewrite some parts?
