Here is a modded version of original Android 4.4 (KitKat) launcher that can works even on Android 14, but it requires installation throw ADB, Tango and other tool if you want to install on Android 14. It seems to work well on my A52 with Android 14!

Other Android 4.x launchers (especially Android 4.0) seems to be some kind of modification of Holo launcher that not feels like real Android 4.x launchers on certain scenarios.
You should also mention that the trick of using Tango to run old apps on modern Android just works on Android 14+, and won't solve some issues. I tried to mod Android 2.2 and 2.3 (Froyo/Gingerbread) launchers but I cannot run these with my mods and tweak, maybe it requires to make the launcher from scratch or additional tweaking. Here I provide also a version of Android 1.6 (Donut) launcher for modern devices!

To delicious2003 I am having a issue where that modified Android 4 launcher didn't work it couldn't install on my non-rooted Samsung tablet and on my phone it would crash so your android launcher is bad

For the person that posted MeeGoLauncher. Do you want me to fix it for Android 11+? It might not work well on these devices due to the additional permision that allows to Query All Packages. That just requires to add one line to the manifest file. I could try to do it as I did with Android 4.4 (KitKat) launcher and 2.2/2.3 Launcher (I failed). BTW I think that the Android 4.0 Launcher should be removed, it's just an outdated version of HoloLauncher with some themes or styles. It should be possible to theme the new HoloLauncher as it was done with that version.

To @ginger1234 test the original F-Droid app, let me know if it works. BTW what android have your devices? That information is useful to try additional methods to fix it, or consider making something from scratch, so please let me know instead of telling that my mod is bad.

@Ginger1234 forgot that! Download the original app from F-Droid in your pc and install through ADB. Since this is just a old app that was modded, install using ADB. Remember to include the paramether --bypass-low-target-sdk-block while installing!
