i haven't been able to stop beating myself up over things i've done both recently, 3 years ago, and even as a kid. it's ridiculous to carry so much pointless and unhelpful shame around. how do you guys cope with regrets?

i usually tell myself that what happened happened and there's no undoing it so i should just stop caring
