I detected another two things, the first one is a div with contenteditable attribute when you're posting in the forum, and another thing is the selection of the friend when you want to send a message. A button should be used instead of a clickable image, or at least change the role attribute of that clickable element. I expect some day spacehey developer/s will discover this group and fix these issues.

With screen readers outside of custom themes, the main site is generally ok, but a dark mode would help a lot but would also break the realism to the era that's being aimed for.

Along side this we have to think as user created themes alongside my own don't help with accessibility in the slightest, as they can use illegible fonts, bad contrast and elements that are hard to decipher.

That's true, there are worse pages regarding the accessibility. Another issue is the captcha, I usually click randomly to solve it since I can't see the image. Would prefer an alternative method to verify that you are a human, as an example inputs hidden with css (honeypot) and some mathematical questions.
