Do you talk to others for fun or to make friends?

Question

All my life I've talked to people for fun, putting in no effort to bond or befriend anyone, just letting it happen if I do make a friend. Yet it seems people point out it's weird I try not to be friends with every person I meet.

So I'm curious on exactly how many people actually do this. What's your preferred way of socializing?

Well for me it's both. Like, sometimes I do talk for fun (or when needed- ahem- school). But sometimes I talk cause i want to make friends. Thinking about it, it's kinda rare..
