I’d like to revive this group, so I’m posting here. 2025 is the year of the Yin Wood Snake. The snake is Yin Fire. So, we have the heavenly stem Yi (Yin Wood) sitting on top of Ding (Yin Fire). Yi and Ding create the Eating God star, which is exactly what it’s called.

Wood is associated with the spring, so each time we’re in a Wood year, we experience the beginning of a new cycle, generation and birth (no necessary literal birth). Think about how during the spring, a large portion of life has died down from the winter, but has made way for new life to rapidly grow. Last year was also Wood, so there was that similar feeling of new beginnings.

Fire is associated with the summer, expansion, boldness and joy. The snake is particular is the yin polarity of fire, which can be represented by a candle. Yin Fire is like a light that only shines brighter when in a trustworthy situation, as opposed to Yang Fire which usually shown as the sun, which illuminates everything during the time of the day when humans are naturally the most active.

The character of the snake:

  • sensual
  • vain
  • calculating
  • headstrong
  • sophisticated
  • responsible
  • social
  • charismatic

Yi-types and Snake-types will continue to be prominent for this entire year.
