short scene hair?

so i have short hair, like a grown out pixie kinda. so far ive been just blowing out my hair then spraying it with hair spray to get a good spiky look. but ive been wondering if theres a good way to get a voluminous look while having short hair? id assume i should just use the same method for long hair but idk if theres a better way

if anyone has any tips id be very grateful :D
