Tales from the Gas Station

I'd really recommend checking it out if you haven't read it already. It's a self aware paranormal story that uses it's setting examine small town mentality, a deadend retail job, and friendship. It also tackles terminal illness and disability to some extent and has a fantastically written queer character (that the story allows to be as flawed as all the other characters). Best to start with the blog (which can be found on youtube read by Mister Creepypasta although the playlists get a bit confusing so reference the blog).
