I'm really loving browsing through the Virtual Vault but I'll get to the rabbit holes of the other link pages too.


My name's Sean, I'm an aging Millenial who will be turning 34 this fall. I have really fond memories spending my younger days at the dawn of the 21st century surfing the weird, wonderful world wide web in my parents basement using a dial up internet connection.

i remember looking at stuff like ebaum's world and playing flash games on random sites that hosted them. also i remember looking at fan-sites alot to.

It was hilarious! I've got a bad feeling it was hosted by Geocities. Yahoo sure did fuck that up the same way Tom sold Myspace and let that get destroyed.

In 2001 I was obsessed with the new phenomenon of hand crafted CSS layouts and CSS/PHP blogs. Especially the design of this site which would look a lot better on a low res 1024x768 CRT monitor. https://web.archive.org/web/20010127093100/http://www.bluishorange.com/

There was an early blog (weblog) in the late 90s called "A Day in the Life of a Nerd" started by a high school student. Wish I could find that one.
