I was born in '03, so I did have some experience with early 2000s and very new internet, but sadly, I didn't have the same experience that the OG Scene Kidz did.
But, I can't help but think that Justice (kid's clothing store) and Claire's (accessories store) was my pipeline into the scene and y2k aesthetics XD. I know it sounds really weird, but I remember going into Claire's and just being fascinated with all the products, and I would catch a glimpse of a scene kid. They absolutely fascinated me, and I knew that I wanted to look like that when I grew up. Fortunately for me, I do. >u<
So, if there's any peeps in here that remember something like that, please share! I wanna know what got you into the subgenre/aesthetic!
