Can I become a piercer if I don't have piercings?

I've been thinking that becoming a piercer might be cool! I always wanted to get a lot of piercings and recently I pierced my own ears. 

The thing is, besides two earrings in each of my ear I don't have any other piercings. Do I have any chance at getting an apprenticeship at a piercers shop? Won't it make me look unprofessional? It's like a tattoo artist without any tattoos looks untrustworthy. 
What do yall think? 
Also I really want a lip piercing, but I have braces and they don't go together XD

As long as you have enough training and qualifications, then definitely.


Also, I have snakebites with braces at the same time like the rebel I am. :)
