I really like fire emblem a lot and I'm posting this just to express how Much I enjoy Edelgard as a character. She has so many layers, she's like an ogre or an onion. Her route is definitely not the best but it is totally my favorite!

I like Edelgard a lot, but my favorite lord in 3h has to be Dimitri. I love his character and watch as his psyche is peeled apart like a banana, and his untreated trauma and survivor's guilt begin to overwhelm him. He feels very human, as he acts on impulse and aggression, a pure hatred for one person. This hatred drives him into a rut, where he ends up living in the ruins of garreg mach. He lives among rats, filth, and bandits, with nothing but his will to kill Edelgard pushing him forward. This is until Byleth returns and helps him. He may act like an unfeeling dickhead for the first part of blue lions, but Byleth helps him find himself after Rodrigue's death. His redemption arc is very compelling, as you can really see his humanity return to him, chapter by chapter. He is also a super broken unit and is very attractive. I settle my case.
