Can anyone recommend any good mangas?
I have a few to rec if you're up for a new read!!
- Blood on the tacks
(Slow paced, might have broken me)
-Omoide Emanon
(This ones scary taking it in form her perspective)
-Goodnight Punpun
(Every part of this manga is so horrible, so f-ed up I had to suppress things I've read on there)
-Brutal
(Hot guy murderers, gore)
-Tomie
-Uzumaki
-Gyo
(Literally any of Junji Ito's work, its just so satisfying to look at his art)
-The Horizon
(Made me cry)
-Kami no Kadomo
(Unique art style, very disturbing)

Dark Mangas

Just as a heads up, none of these recommendations are minor friendly as they all have some fairly adult content and heavy themes. If you're under 18 maybe wait to pick any of these up. That said, here's a few links and titles I know of.
Boy's Abyss is a new one that's pretty dark. A coming of age story that deals with a lot of heavy topics
Aku no Hana is another dark coming of age story. Also has an anime, but the anime is very lacking by comparison.
Hoshi no Ponko to Toufuya Reiko has a good bait and switch plot. It starts off very lighthearted and cutesy but turns into a very dark story.
Helter Skelter. I'm not gonna lie to you, the art is pretty rough and it's basically smut but if you like a good downward spiral story it's not a bad read and won't take you very long. Also has a live action movie if you can't be bothered to suffer the art but got hooked by the story
A Girl On The Shore is by the same mangaka as Punpun and is a similarly bleak coming of age story.
Honorable mention goes to Boku to Issho. It's really more of a black comedy than anything and everything's played for laughs, but the circumstances of a lot of the characters are very grim
