ghost story

so when i was a kid (7) my family moved into a house. we lived there until i was 14. while living there, we would always see shadow figures in and around the house. before we moved in, the landlord told us that the house previously belonged to a doctor who also worked on patients in the house (my room was a patient room!). i remember only seeing them at nighttime and they'd disappear in light, so i slept with a nightlight every night. just to clarify, nobody in my family at the time had sleep issues, used drugs of any kind, or had any mental disorders that cause hallucinations and we all agreed that we saw the same things. one night a shadow man sat on my bed. my nightlight was very dim until i got a new one, so i guess he was fine in there. we've also heard tapping on the windows and other people who had previously lived there said they saw shadow men. my mother also lived there for a while when she was a kid and said she saw the same stuff. i've also heard weird noises in the house (footsteps, animals, clapping) that we could never find the source of. and i've seen things move on their own. weird shit. i suspect it may be the doctor or patients who passed away haunting the place, but i'm really not sure. my religious (christian) parents say it's demons, but i'm hesitant to believe that.

and that's the story! odd stuff happened there and i haven't been to the place for 2 years (i used to visit my dad there but he doesn't live there anymore, so no reason to go back).
