As we have all experienced by now, the change to a post capitalist society has started to change the status a mall once had. A place where trends were once set, pop ups were held and teens hung out is now shifted to online spaces and the mall has become an empty ghosttown like place where older people get their daily steps in and no longer the apex of american pop culture.

it makes me sad. literally went to my fav childhood mall last month, after not being there in 11 years and it was empty on a saturday?? it felt so strange because it used to be packed and exciting.
