When you got introduced.

I was like 12 or 13 when i first heard melanie. It was when crybaby came out and there was a tumblr era i saw her music around and it was being used as an aesthetic but i only started listening to her when one of my friends showed me one of her music videos, then i saw her music on the movie nerve and i started listening religiously. 

basically i was like 12 when i met melanie for the first time. it was crybaby time and the first song i heard from her was dollhouse. I still listen to the songs.

i was 13 years old when i was first introduced to her art. her music video for dollhouse was broadcasted on the mtv television station. 

immediately, i fell in love with her voice and her aesthetic.

dollhouse came out and my sister told me i wasnt allowed to watch the music video or listen to it. well i did and here we are!

I got into her music a lot when K-12 came out, although I had heard most of her music before and thought it was amazing. The first song I heard was Pity Party.

I found her music in 2018, ever since then I loved and still love her music, the first song I heard was Dollhouse, and then I heard her cover she did on the Voice called Toxic, I later found more of her music and became a fan.

probably the weirdest place, but it was a gravity falls crossover fanart where it was a video of art of pacifica where she was drawn on the crybaby album cover in place of melanie with the crybaby music playing in the background. this was back in 2016, and i bought tickets to her tour that same year. i've been a fan ever since

I was around 10 or 11 at the time, and I was browsing through youtube. at the time, i was going through my gacha phase (canon event), and there was a glmm of her song "dollhouse". i liked the song, so I went and searched it up. I listened to it on a daily basis, but never thought to look into more of her music. but around the time when "playdate" was trending, I realized that she made that song aswell, which encouraged me to look deeper into her music. this year marks my fourth year of being a fan. 

The very first time I first heard of her was through Tumblr. Many of the people I followed seemed to like her but I didn't pay it much mind. The first time I'd ever heard one of her songs, I was at an RTC and while I didn't pay much attention then either, I was intrigued. The first time that I properly sat down to listen to Mel was pretty much exactly one year ago when the Death music video released. I've been hooked ever since.

I first heard about Melanie Martinez in grade 6 through my friend who introduced me to Dollhouse. I was just figuring out my taste in music and I associated her with Billie Eillsh lol I liked Mel but I was more into Billie at the time and it wasn't until I ran into the k12 movie randomly in the middle of the night when I started listening to her more. Then I became friends with another girl who was really into her as well. We're best friends now. Once the Afterschool EP came out, I just started listening to her whenever I was feeling down and wanted to work on myself lol. I listen to her almost religiously now. I even went to her concert last month and it was absolutely amazing!!
