Eh, these cars always have some kind of issues. Maintenance is annoying and can be expensiveย

Wish I would have been around in the early 2000s when a nice e30 was like 700 bucks. Now you can barely find a clapped out one for under $5k

I've owned 2 garbage bimmers first one came with 2 blown pistons cost me 6000 by the end of it's life in which it cannoned of the edge of the road at 90 miles per hour (sideways) and face planted itself into mud. Sheared the steering rack in half and took down 2 trees. Passenger and I came out unscathed except from airbag rug burn on my hand and slight whiplash on passenger. The car needed 3 thermostats, water pump, fuel filter, throttle position sensor, radiator, 8 drain plugs, new headlights, and more, it was old and all the rubber was shot but it looked good and made 170 horse on a good day. 2005 325i successfully evaded police twice despite having a habit of just turning off at 100mph.ย

Second is 2011 128i. Crash damaged, literally imploded on the front driver side and the guy replaced the apron and the knuckle, put shit ass lowering springs and called it a day. It still has a bunch of scratches on the wheel and the door pops the fender when it closes. Upper road hose broke during inspection just from being brushed on. I didn't pay the guy and he just abandoned it in front of my house and then begged for the money. Eccentric shaft sensor died a week and a half after I obtained it (it sat for a month while I was on vacation) and I had to do the sensor and valve cover 3 days before an 800 mile drive to California. I slopped it together with Chinese Amazon parts including a brand new valve cover since a piece came off and vanished into thin air. I had to put rubber blocks in the suspension cause it sat so low. CHP chased me as soon as I entered California cause they thought I had hit and run cause of the fender looking like shit and being the wrong black.

Unfortunately this was not my worst car, actually that goes to the orange Lexus village bicycle. I will make a post about it but basically it has over 20 owners and they all dunk on it. It's an Auburn is300 with damaged paint, no front core support, wrecked black bumpers, slammed on its nuts, static and comes with a "I love b00bes" sticker inside the trunk lid. Empty mount for double sub setup that was cut out still there. Trunk would not close and it peed transmission fluid by the gallon. I didn't care until I discovered that the pinch welds actually went on vacation to Mexico. There's was just an orange chasm where the frame and welds were supposed to be. We couldn't get planks to fit under it to get on the lift. I had to get it towed and I had to remove the bumper which was held on with one zip tie. HOA was taking photos of it. I ended up abandoning it at the bottom of my neighborhood with a cover. Someone snitched about it so I tried to sell it in Tacoma and I got mugged for the title. Mf did a burnout and lost all the ATF.ย  I dropped it at my friends house so I could go on vacation and she parked it in front of Walmart where it got impounded. I literally showed up with the buyer and I saw the stupid thing inside the impound, that's how I found out. Lost me 2500 cause I checked it in the rain and my is300 "expert" buddy said "nah, he's cool." F that junker. I'll show pictures. Everyone in the South of Seattle knows it and touched it, if it was a woman it would have 30 STDs and a crack pipe in there. Guess where it ended up after auction? In the next neighborhood up from mine. It's spreading it's ghetto germs everywhere in Tacoma Federal Way Seattle and New Jersey, from it's original home in New York (matches its spirit.) I remember it was such a looker, I'd scrape into O'Reilly's and everyone would stare in contempt. It would bounce and hop and the CEL would turn off when it was out of ATF. The guy who sold it to me ran off to the military, and that's very on brand. Ha ha. I have beed with a Lexus and guess where it ended up. A painful reminder of the 2500 I lost every time I go to work.
