Hi stranger from 5 months ago. It's quite rare to see SpaceHey groups being often active. I rarely see such things according through my phenomenology, but I also understand why. Because y'know, life and things.

I think many users have abandoned the site due to there being "no app" or maybe they were just here for the novelty.

I'm still here, so when forums are popping off I'll be around to help it pop off further. I've just been away from the forum side for a little while.

Seems like the "Forums" are a bit more active at the moment. It might help to throw in some new topics; maybe a "newly discovered" or  "fave artists" kinda threads.

I think a themed thread for every day of the week would be pretty cool. something along the lines of "80s Monday" or "Electronic Fridays", eh?

I guess it is? I know I'm not active on Spacehey everyday, but I try to check in once or twice a week. I think this group does need to try and do something to keep it alive. The person below me has some nice suggestions!

Posts seem to be very few and far between, with no actual music discussions outside of new artists promoting their own music (can we consolidate those, btw?).

IF we wanna get a conversation going i can start:

I have a "Music Artists of the week" going on in my office, and a coworker recently recommended Sabaton. they seem to be Swedish Power Metal band. I listened to a few of their albums throughout the week, and it was... okay?

Here's a list of songs i enjoyed (hits):

coat of arms

here's a list of the okay songs:

midway, uprising, aces in exile, saboteurs, Wehrmacht, white death, uprising, shotgun

here's a list of the songs i didn't enjoy (misses):

screaming eagles, the final solution, metal ripper, primo victoria, reign of terror, panzer battalion, wolfpack, and counterstrike to name a few.

If World War 2 never happened these guys would be in a lot of trouble. Almost ALL of their songs have something to do with WWII, and while iron maiden did a couple world war songs (The Trooper, and Aces High), Sabaton has a death grip on the WWII themes, with their latest album titled "The War to end all Wars" and delves into World War.... 1! way to subvert expectations guys! I bet they'll sing about mustad gas, trench warfare, and the first tanks (initially called landships) to be seen on the battlefield. I'll even go as far as to predict a song called "behemoth" or "metal monstrosity" to be the one that talks about the tank.

all in all, i'd give i a 3/10. Has a Five Finger Death Punch vibe, which isn't really my style... instrumentals are good though. Maybe power metal isn't for me, or maybe hearing about panzer tanks on the hunt in 3 songs just gets tiring quickly.
