Please avoid any nu metal or groove metal and try and limit the amount of 2000s metal you listen to. I recommend Storm Troopers of Death,Megadeth, Anthrax,Overkill,Municipal waste,Mercyful fate,king diamond,Judas priest, Iron maiden,Venom,Bathory, Motorhead,Slayer,Nuclear assault. These are all popular bands that will help you branch out more.

but I recommend a Thrash-Punk band called Suicidal Tencender, it's like Municipal Waste, definitely give it a look :)
