The young man whose case inspired "The Exorcist" movie has finally been identified. For decades he was only identified as Roland Doe, a fictitious name.

His real name was Ronald Edwin Hunkeler. He went on to become an engineer for NASA. And he passed away sometime in 2020.

Actually I've seen a article made in 2014 identify his full name in some Russia forum and some other article made in 2011 so I don't necessarily think this is new information however I have seen that there was a spike in December 2021 of articles about his real name and recent death
