Anime/Manga Survey (17 Questions)

Really fun questionnaire! It covers almost everything about being an anime or manga fan — from how people got introduced to it, to preferences on genres, adaptations, and even cosplay. I like how it shows the different ways fans engage with the community, whether through conventions, staying up all night watching, or just keeping it as a personal hobby. 1. How were you first introduced to anime/manga?

I don't remember exactly, I just saw some anime on Netflix and decided to watch it.

2. What's your favorite genre? Genre you most avoid?

Favorite genre: Slice of life because they tend to be more calm and characters focused then shounen animes, which are more action focused and violent. Almost all of my favorite animes are slice of life animes

Least favorite genre: Ecchi because I dislike anything sexual/related to sex in general. Harem because the main character is always the most basic man ever and somehow the most prettiest girls are all attracted to him and I think it's boring. Harem animes often contain ecchi as well. Mecha, big robots are just not my thing, same goes for sports.

3. What makes an anime/manga?

I would say art because I would rather read a pretty manga with good art but an boring story then a manga with boring art and excellent story, if I only wanted a good story i would read a novel. Of course story is also important.

4. How unrealistic/cliched do you like your anime/manga?

Anything goes for me. I generally don't mind cliches. 

5. How would you like the anime adaptation of a manga series?

Same general plot, but with some good, new content. I believe that an adaptation must not be exactly like the source material but it must try to adapt it to a different media, so it must change some things. The adaptation has to be a different version of the source materiel, not the exact same because else, why watch the adaptation?

6. Reaction to live-action movie based on anime or manga series?

I hope they don't screw up this one...  (although it can be fine if it's adapted correctly)

7. Do you watch the anime versions of the mangas you read?

I read the manga after watching the anime.

I rarely read manga nowadays (I only watch anime).

I don't cry... EVER!

Know I read manga/watch anime, but it's not something we talk about...  My mother isn't a fan of anime and would rather watch live action series/movies. (we don't talk about my father)

I need a picture in front of me to copy. I don't draw very often though.

No for several reasons. The first is that I'm tan irl so I can't cosplay my favorite characters. The second is that I'm scared of people's reactions. Finally, I just can't afford good quality cosplay and it's a lot of efforts and time needed.
