When the sun hits the skies
Because its bright
It hurts my eyes
I dont really like the light
I'd rather sit in my room
The only light, my phone
Scrolling through posts for an endless time

They are the light of our souls
Though they aren't what makes our skin have moles
They make us smile and possibly cry in joy
Like we are children who are just given a new toy

I'm in love with someone today
And I'm hoping to win her feelings if I may
She is my best friend who really cares about me
And it doesn't cost anything; not even a fee

Would she love me back?
It's unknown at this time
Are the feelings having a lack?
It could be me turning into a mime

light graces the world around me 

brighter than bright but soft as can be

In this dark hole

Then one day there was a light

As bright as a thousand suns

But it wasn’t blinding

It was warm and soft

Comforting and calm

It was wonderful..like nothing I’ve ever felt before

It was a kind embrace

The light’s rays wrapped around me firmly

My skin heated by the contact

Melting at the feeling it provided me

I never wanted this to end

Suddenly the light began to fade

My joy and happiness slowly washing away

No no..

This can’t be happening..

Why couldn’t it last for even just a bit longer?

I wanted more

I need to feel the light’s touch one more time..
