Elliott Smith's self-titled. A practically flawless album, covering some incredibly sensitive ground with such nuance and sincerity. Songwriting covers a fantastic variety while remaining cohesively stylised, the way the music is recorded on double tracks gives it this really strange, unsettling feel that makes the lyrical content even more powerful and the album as a whole remains timeless to this day.
