"Aliens"

I drank a lot after that, and struggled with taking life serious

ly, in spite of all the deception and illusions woven into the fabric of my perception of reality.

Once I admitted that to myself, the alcohol became virtually useless to me. It just stopped working. It was very strange how it happened. Sometimes I'm compelled to talk about it, and the messages contained in these "alien" experiences I've been denying for 40+ years.
