i was supposed to go see mean girls bway on tour , but the second my dad finally agreed all the tickets were sold out(eternally sad abt this) im still pretty salty abt this bc one of my freinds went to go see hamilton on tour , and the day mean girls came to my city has already passed so now im determined to see an actually broadway production one day >:(

hello im not sure how active this group is but i had tried to make my own theater group and also am suffering from inactivity so i figured i should post in what i think is the only other one lol BUT TO THE QUESTIONS

welcome kat! thanks for joining in and sorry your group hasn't seen much activity either i STILL need to get around to watching hedwig and the angry inch, but i have a friend who i'm waiting to watch it with sometime.

one of my other friends was considering seeing into the woods on broadway soon, so yeah, i think it's still on! to be honest, i never fully realised the sheer number of shows running on broadway at any one time until talking to her about which one to choose...it's insane!

i never saw your reply whoops but what u said about the sheer number is INSANE esp if you want to see an off-broadway show, it almost TRIPLES at that point

What are your favourite musicals? i've seen many but Be More Chill & Heathers on top

1. My favorite musicals kinda change all the time but I lovelovelove be more chill, hadestown, and beetlejuice
2. I've been interested my whole life but I didn't get into it until my school made us do a mandatory musical in elementary school lolz
3. I've been in a play and 2 musicals, I've done summer camps, and I wanna try crew!!
4. I am so not normal about the squid song from be more chill I am literally so rich coded its not even funny I am him (minus the burning down a house thing) all of the music from be more chill is so good and honestly just be more chill in general bcuz its literally so stupid but in a way that makes it amazing
5. If I could get tickets to any show it would def be Beetlejuice. seeing it live feels like it would be such an experience, esp on broadway

What are your favourite musicals?

NEWSIES Absolutely Newsies, I've been obsessed since I first watched it 3 years ago. But I also love Le Mis, Finding Neverland and Heathers.

How long have you been interested in musical theatre? What got you into it?

I've been interested in it since forever, I played in a few musicals when I was younger and I remember loving it and wanting to continue it but social anxiety stopped me from doing that. I went to the Lion King when I was younger and I just absolutely loved it, it was downhill from there.

Have you ever been involved in musical theatre as a performer, stage crew, or creative staff? If not, would you like to?

Yeah like written previously I've been in a few musicals when I was a kid. I remember playing older Nala from the Lion King and Jane from Tarzan. I would still love to do it but I think the opportunity has flown past me.

If you could get tickets to see any musical right now, which would it be?

I loved the set design from Newsies West End. It was so immersive and beautiful. I loved that the seating sections were named after boroughs of New York.

Adamandi, The Art of Pleasing Princes, and Be More Chill (But I talk about the first two the most)

I've been interested in musical theatre since I was like 8 or 9. I found Hamilton animatics on my YouTube recommended page and it altered my brain chemistry.

I tried to be in a high school production of Chicago as a performer (ensemble + the clerk), but I had too many sick days and couldn't keep up with everyone else

What are your favourite musicals?

Into the woods 4ever!!! I love it so much I rant about it constantly. I also love rent, heathers, spring awakening (ngl I have never even looked up a synopsis or anything, I just picked up the cd from a thrift store a while ago and I loved it), newsies, a year with frog and toad, the color purple, and many more. 

How long have you been interested in musical theatre? What got you into it?

A pretty long time. It was a community theatre group that got me into it. I tried it out thinking I would be bored of it within days but then I fell in love!! 

Have you ever been involved in musical theatre as a performer, stage crew, or creative staff? If not, would you like to?

I've performed quite a few times for small community stuff, and also at junior theatre festival, it's a lot of fun. I've also been part of the stage crew quite a bit, also very fun. 

Tell us about a costume/set/lighting design, song, or performer you love!

I love Kristin Chenoweth, mostly cause of you're a good man Charlie Brown. And I also love Bernadette Peters. A song I love is getta loada toad from a year with frog and toad. It's just so funny 2 me, turtle is being such a jerk in that song that it's hilarious. It's also very catchy.
