i was supposed to go see mean girls bway on tour , but the second my dad finally agreed all the tickets were sold out(eternally sad abt this) im still pretty salty abt this bc one of my freinds went to go see hamilton on tour , and the day mean girls came to my city has already passed so now im determined to see an actually broadway production one day >:(

welcome kat! thanks for joining in and sorry your group hasn't seen much activity either i STILL need to get around to watching hedwig and the angry inch, but i have a friend who i'm waiting to watch it with sometime.

one of my other friends was considering seeing into the woods on broadway soon, so yeah, i think it's still on! to be honest, i never fully realised the sheer number of shows running on broadway at any one time until talking to her about which one to choose...it's insane!

i never saw your reply whoops but what u said about the sheer number is INSANE esp if you want to see an off-broadway show, it almost TRIPLES at that point

1. My favorite musicals kinda change all the time but I lovelovelove be more chill, hadestown, and beetlejuice
2. I've been interested my whole life but I didn't get into it until my school made us do a mandatory musical in elementary school lolz
3. I've been in a play and 2 musicals, I've done summer camps, and I wanna try crew!!
4. I am so not normal about the squid song from be more chill I am literally so rich coded its not even funny I am him (minus the burning down a house thing) all of the music from be more chill is so good and honestly just be more chill in general bcuz its literally so stupid but in a way that makes it amazing
5. If I could get tickets to any show it would def be Beetlejuice. seeing it live feels like it would be such an experience, esp on broadway

What are your favourite musicals?

NEWSIES Absolutely Newsies, I've been obsessed since I first watched it 3 years ago. But I also love Le Mis, Finding Neverland and Heathers.

How long have you been interested in musical theatre? What got you into it?

I've been interested in it since forever, I played in a few musicals when I was younger and I remember loving it and wanting to continue it but social anxiety stopped me from doing that. I went to the Lion King when I was younger and I just absolutely loved it, it was downhill from there.

Have you ever been involved in musical theatre as a performer, stage crew, or creative staff? If not, would you like to?

Yeah like written previously I've been in a few musicals when I was a kid. I remember playing older Nala from the Lion King and Jane from Tarzan. I would still love to do it but I think the opportunity has flown past me.

I loved the set design from Newsies West End. It was so immersive and beautiful. I loved that the seating sections were named after boroughs of New York.

I've been interested in musical theatre since I was like 8 or 9. I found Hamilton animatics on my YouTube recommended page and it altered my brain chemistry.

I tried to be in a high school production of Chicago as a performer (ensemble + the clerk), but I had too many sick days and couldn't keep up with everyone else

What are your favourite musicals?

Into the woods 4ever!!! I love it so much I rant about it constantly. I also love rent, heathers, spring awakening (ngl I have never even looked up a synopsis or anything, I just picked up the cd from a thrift store a while ago and I loved it), newsies, a year with frog and toad, the color purple, and many more. 

How long have you been interested in musical theatre? What got you into it?

A pretty long time. It was a community theatre group that got me into it. I tried it out thinking I would be bored of it within days but then I fell in love!!

I've performed quite a few times for small community stuff, and also at junior theatre festival, it's a lot of fun. I've also been part of the stage crew quite a bit, also very fun.

I love Kristin Chenoweth, mostly cause of you're a good man Charlie Brown. And I also love Bernadette Peters. A song I love is getta loada toad from a year with frog and toad. It's just so funny 2 me, turtle is being such a jerk in that song that it's hilarious. It's also very catchy.

I've been obsessed with Next to Normal for years, and I also love Come From Away. I've got so many I adore, but those are my two favourites.

My mum was always singing showtunes round the house, and took me to see shows from a young age, so I've been a fan ever since I was about 5.

I played Macavity in a primary school production of cats (not my best performance) and miss Honey in my high school's Matilda. I would love to do more and I'm currently a member of my uni's drama society.

I saw Hadestown on broadway and the way the lamps created atmosphere was breathtaking. It helped that it was Eva Noblezada's second to last performance and I've wanted to see her for years. Next to Normal on the west end also had an amazing set because of the cabinet/hospital bed/chair/anything else that was constantly transforming between scenes. Also Caissie Levy.

I would love to see Billy Elliot again.

Lately I've been really into Ride the Cyclone but I also have liked Beetlejuice for a long time

How long have you been interested in musical theatre? What got you into it?

My cousin got me into it by showing me Heathers a few years back, I think it was 2020 or 2019, can't really remember.

To be honest I would love to, but I'm far too anxious to be on stage. I do love to perform to myself in front of the mirror though :)

Lately I've been obsessed with the song "God Games" from The Wisdom Saga of EPIC: The Musical. I love singing and acting out all the different roles.

I've liked it all my life but my first true love and absolute obsession was with Hamilton in 2020. I saw a tour show before the pandemic it was sooo good! then i had a break until 2023 because my most of my friends weren't theatre kids and there was no theatre until middle school. and I fell in love with Heathers and ever since then I've pretty much always have been in some stage of obsession with at least one musical at any given moment!! (right now: falsettos)

I've been on the stage since I was really little, performing in these community shows that primarily sang collections of songs one was christmas, and one was broadway songs! Then I did community theatre, and childrens community theatre and I did theatre in middle school. now i am like- religously invested in my high school theatre

PFFT LMAO ok so I got a Cameo from George Salazar (Michael in BMC)  last christmas and he was like "wow we are both performers. yk its important to be a form of entertainment and happiness for people in the world right now because the world SUCKS and people are DYING. also congrats on getting bobby in a chorus line at school!" I know his intentions are pure and hes a rlly nice guy but it thought it was funny!! AND THENN I bout a cameo from Will Conolly (Jeremy in BMC) and I asked him to sing an outtake song from BMC and he was like "man i don't remember it lol" and it was disappointing but i also cant blame him lol. it was 15 bucks and me and my friends got a good laugh out of it lolll

i have so many but i love these ones A LOT:

newsies, anastasia, the wizard of oz, wicked, bonnie & clyde, the outsiders and alice by heart. 

2. how long have you been interested in musical theatre? what got you into it?

my earliest memory of watching anything musical was when i was 3 years old and watching the wizard of oz whenever i could. it's been my favourite movie for the past 14 years. (i'm also an oz collector so i have a small collection of wizard of oz and wicked merch which is growing quite a bit lol.) but i didn't officially become a theatre kid until i was 10 and beetlejuice the musical was growing big. 

3. have you ever been involved in musical theatre as a performer, stage crew, or creative staff? if not, would you like to?

i've been in 4 school productions and about to start my 5th one this year for my senior show! theatre is my passion so i'm planning to purse it professionally!

my favourtite costume is katherine plumbers' pink skirt and polka dot blouse she wears at the end of newsies on broadway!
