What was the most messed up horror movie you've seen?

I can handle a lot of things such as gore, jumpscares, sex, and some of the other gross things that play their way into horror movies. Though, I can only think of one that genuinely made me sick to my stomach, and I almost had to stop watching. (I would categorize this as more of a psychological thriller) But for me that's definitely a cure for wellness

I saw someone say Slaughtered Vomit Dolls and jesus fUCK that's one of them but also August Underground. Anything Freddy Vogel makes is a crime against humanity. Just because you have a camera and a dream doesn't mean its gonna be good

AH YES LETS-

So my ex boyfriend decided for date night he would rent all three human centipede movies and watch them together. Mind you, if you know horror movies you would know that human centipede 2 had some scenes removed from it. Well, when he rented it, it was the theoretical versions without all the removal. Let's just say it was the worst night of my life, and clearly later on, we broke up. Not a fun experience and if you have a weak stomach, I suggest against watching this movie.

It was pitched as a dark comedy, but towards the end it spooked me.

"Duck! The Carbine High Massacre".

It was made six months after Columbine and the directors (William Hellfire and Joey Smack) got arrested for bringing real guns to a real school to film some of the scenes.

Spoilers - there's a scene where they actually shoot the place up. Leading up to it, it's just an over the top, dark comedy, exploitation flick. Then - the music cuts out, and you see these two guys standing over their victims and gunning them down while they tease them while the fire alarm blares in the background.

It gave me the feeling that the directors understood the mentality of the mass shooter better than anyone who's tried to put that shit on screen. The mentality of "This world is rotten and dying, so in one last blaze of glory, I will die with it and take as many people with me as I can."

It made me feel bad for laughing at the rest of the movie, made me sit back and think "Am I complicit in this? Am I the bad guy for watching this whole movie, waiting for the climax knowing damn well it was gonna be a school shooting? Am I what's wrong with the world?"

Very deep for a movie that had a budget of like $600 and never gets talked about anymore. I highly recommend it, you can find it for free online in a variety of places.

for me it would be terrifier, during one of the scenes with someone getting killed i just checked out of the movie bc it was way too ridiculous. like i swear she lost all the blood in her body TWICE, but somehow she was still alive AND conscious

Easily "Where The Dead Go To Die" really disturbing for a animated movie. A lot of unnecessary scenes involving children and animals.
Don't recommend watching.

The jester was expecting a good murder or scary movie but this only reminds me how there are almost no good scary movies in every sense, it seems like it was made to be a joke.

not really messed up but I suffer from extreme paranoia and have severe trust issues and The Visit terrifies me, the thought of some stranger pretending be someone you trust is just EUGH-

also the scene where the "grandfather" rubbed his poop in the kid's face made me gag

Matyrs (the 2008 vers), The Skin I Live In (2011), Crowsnest (2012, I will say that a good chunk of the movie is mid, but once you get passed that it gets pretty decent I suppose.) Scarecrows (2017, the acting/beginning's pretty stupid but the concept is pretty disturbing and once you progress towards the end it gets better I guess.) Those are just a few that come to mind.

I watched irreversible (french indie film) out of curiosity. while i thought the films way of story telling was interesting, it was far from perfect. It's infamous for its SA scene, which has to be one of the worst things ive sat through. not worth the view.

For me it's gotta be Mother! Most of the movie was very tame and just interesting but the ending was really messed up. I rarely feel sick to my stomach when watching movies but that one did it lol. Haven't watched it again.

I'm not into real gore because I feel really guilty even after watching just an image, Even if it looks completely real and I know the thing is fake so I haven't watched those movies like Faces of death etc...

The only "horror" movies that really bothered me were Tusk: watching the pure suffering of the guy, how powerless and destroyed he was and how plausible something like that could be just made feel compassionate towards a movie character for maybe the 2nd time, and I really hated the ending, he deserved to be killed for mercy. And Martyrs: This movie completely destroyed me, I had nightmares for 2 days just by watching the flayed woman at the ending and I will never watch that scene again,

Nekromantik is literally just about necrophilia, with some animal cruelty sprinkled in. It's messed up but not good by any means. IDK if this counts as a horror film, but the Faces of Death series shows a lot of brutal shit. Most of it is fake, but a lot of it real too (i.e. all the slaughterhouse footage and plane crashes).

All the h.p. Lovecraft inspired films directed by Stewart Gordon. They aren't like the MOST disturbing ive seen but I think about them constantly in a generally negative way relating to aspects that are in them.(including my favorite horror movie reanimator bc why did that scene need to happen. pretty sure bro lost his wife over it or smth)
