In no particular order (and probably omitting some):
- Metal Slug is a good series for sinking a bunch of time into to obtain perfection. RIP the series, though, since SNK is going down the tubes, the last released game is some souless rehash of 2 (iirc?), and Metal Slug Tactics is both not a run and gun and it's in development hell.
- Mario Kart in general is one of the simple pleasures of life.
- Doom 2016 was a great deal of fun for its movement mechanics. 2016 > Eternal, by the way.
- What I played of Quake was really good. Practically has no bosses, but the moment-to-moment gameplay is really solid.
- Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga is one of the few RPGs that I've completed.
- Half-Life 1, Op4, 2, and Ep1 are wonderful games. Shoutouts to Portal 1 + 2 as well!

The game I like is Tekken [all of them]. Main reason is every character can understand each other even tho they speak a different language [even tho some of them are animals and others are humans but speaking animal]

There's quite a lot so this is just a list from the top of my head
- Digimon World - Playstation game. It's not perfect and is a little too vague but I still really love it. It's cute and I love the OST.
- Kirby Planet Robobot - 3DS game. My first Kirby game, it got me hooked on Kirby. Great OST too, one of my favourites. I have this game memorized.
- MOTHER 3 - GBA game. A fucking masterpiece. I can't spoil anything bc it's really one of those games you experience yourself. Go play it now.
- Yume Nikki - Windows game. Another masterpiece, sometimes it's just fun to get lost in games without knowing what to do. Some of my favourite visuals and I'm a sucker for stuff about dreams.
- Moon Remix RPG - Playstation game. Again. A fucking masterpiece. I felt like such a different person when I was finished with the game. I can't spoil anything, go play it now.
- Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky - DS game. Love the OST and the sprite work in this. There's so much to do in this game.
- Kirby's Return to Dream Land - Wii game. Very simple but so charming. Good game if you're new to Kirby and don't know where to start IMO. Also has one of my favourite characters ever!

For me it probably has to be the legend of Zelda series, a big majority of them are very fun to play and entertaining. My favorites have to be Majoras mask and Ocarina of time:D
I just love the game play and how it feels to play the games, it gives such a nostalgic feeling, they're well made even if the story is basic I still love it. The places are so fitting and nice, all the temples feel so pleaseant and fun to do. I love the music in both games. My favorite temple has to be the shadow and water temple. As well for the songs it's healing of time and Deku palace from Majora and from ocarina it's serenade of water and song of storms:3
I like the recent Zelda games as well as the old ones but they'res just something about Ocarina and Majora that give them a special place in my heart<3

this will probably change once i get obsessed with something else, but here's a list of games that i'll still enjoy when i get older
tomodachi life: really fun game thats somewhat similar to animal crossing but without the depressing capitalism
GTA V: yeah, number 3 best selling game, gta iv has better dark and griddy physics, gta online sucks, but i'd be lying if i didn't play this game so much with my friends. if i get bored of the main game, i can do other stuff, or play mods.
tons of games by rare, e.g banjo kazooie, perfect dark, donkey kong country: i cannot stress enough how much i love games by those guys. sometimes i wish they were still thriving this generation.
the entire metal gear series: funny as hell, love almost every game. kojima is a madman. 2 and 3 are my personal favorites, please go play them yourself
hotline miami: i can probably talk about this game until i die and meet god. this game is the reason why i think i may be autistic. both games are good. gameplay is VERY fun albeit very flawed, the story is really nice and i love the characters, and the soundtrack is godly.
now some games i consider underrated:
tearaway: i think this may be nostalgia speaking, but i love this game. it's mainly the artstyle, and how the gameplay is also quite nice, although the developers (who also made little big planet) were forced to implement the psvita's weird ass control methods. (seriously sony, if you had better launch games, took out the back touchpad, maybe take out the touchscreen, use normal SD cards, and have a second set of triggers you would have fucking killed nintendo when they were at their lowest)
sleeping dogs: a lovechild of yakuza and GTA set in hong kong. was originally meant to be the next true crime game. the main thing this game taught me was that a man who never eats a pork bun is never a whole man. do yourself a favor and get the original release, not the shitty definitive edition that makes the game look worse. also i cannot stress enough that the game also looks beautiful. if you like the yakuza series, you'll probably like this game. yes, that also includes weird ass minigames.

The 2017 Prey by Arkane. Literally everything in it from the tech to the characters is right up my alley. The absolute best immersive sim, and nobody can change my mind about that. Too bad it was quite the commercial flop due to its name and bad marketing. The name change from Neuroshock(?) to Prey was marketing's decision too if I remember right.

at the moment my very favorite game has to be fear and hunger. i've heard it is too violent, depressing, and or hard for a lot of people but i've really grown to love it. i've got about 50 hours on it from multiple saves (I think you can finish a run in about 30 mins tops?) of discovering every little thing about it.
it combines some of my favorite things in games all wrapped in a, albeit messy, bow. dungeon crawling, diverse cast, interesting monster designs, old religious symbolism, discoverable lore, and lots of blood. really what's not to love? the game itself was made with rpgmaker mv by one person, so it's obviously not going to be perfect but i truly think it adds to the charm of the experience.
that being said i wouldn't recommend it to anyone without the censor mod attached, which removes all the nudity and over-the-top violence (mostly the guard death scenes,,, yuck) from the game. none of it's truly necessary to understand the horror of the game, and i'm pretty sure the creator just added it for shock value.

Well, right now I mainly love playing TF2, L4D2 and Splatoon 3. I still love single player games like the HL series and the og doom.
But if I have to name a favorite game of all time (nostalgia value lol) it would be the Mario 64 remake for the DS, it was the first game I ever played. I remember me and my dad used to both try to collect all stars.

- The Project Diva series
- Touhou 6: Embodiment of Scarlet Devil
- Touhou Luna Nights
- Minecraft
- Factorio
- Project Zomboid
- Nuclear Throne
- The Binding of Isaac
- BTDB2 / BTD6

I love TF2 as well. I haven't played in a while though.
My favorite game of all-time is Skyrim. There's nothing even close to be honest. It's the exploration for me and making a character that starts out as a nobody and ends up as a hero. I love crafting new weapons and armor. Fighting dragons is never a bad thing either. It's so exciting and I love everything about it.

probably Hollow Knight or Dark Souls 1 or 3.
Those games teach me to be patient and learn that it's always ok to go back sometimes, and more importantly, perseverance.

NO STRAIGHT ROADS ! it's such a creative game that combines rhythm with action . it follows zuke and mayday, two indie rock artists wanting to make it big in a city run by music energy . when denied access to NSR, the energy generating team, they set out on a revolution and go from boss to boss to take down the EDM empire and bring back rock . (im an edm fan and i STILL enjoy NSR!)
