Oh my gosh, I love Hole, Sleater-Kinney and Bikini Kill but Sleater-Kinney is my most favorite and I'm inspired by Carrie Brownstein.

Well Obviously Jack off Jill and Kittie, but I also really like Lunachicks, and one of my fav female led punk bands is this really underrated Australian Blak Progressive metal band called BACKHAND, (for the non-Australians reading this, 'Blak' means indigenous Australians lol) they're GREAT and goddam can the lead vocalist scream. HIGHLY reccomend!!!

my staple riot grrl/female fronted punk bands are sleater-kinney, against me!, babes in toyland, the distillers, hole, bikini kill ofc - and some newer bands I think are awesome: pinkshift, destroy boys, mannequin pussy, rumkicks, and I second the BACKHAND rec!!

my favs though are the ogs like Heavens to Betsy, Bratmobile, Bikini Kill, Babes in Toyland. But also April March, who isn't often associated with Riotgrrl but was without a doubt a Riotgrrl adjacent who was on Kill rock stars !
