I would definitely recommend the vampire chronicles series by anne rice if you enjoy gothic horror :)

the raven cycle isn't a very scary series, but it deals heavily with the supernatural, leylines, and stuff while also just an all around awesome book series! i totally recommend it. and if i remember right there is an lgbt couple in it too! :)
