What's your favorite Pokemon game?

Hii, my favorite game would have be either Black/White or HeartGold/SoulSilver !! Those games hold a dear place in my heart since I was a kid and I really enjoy both of their gameplays! (btw i love ur pfp ( ๑>ᴗ<๑ ))

I really love Platinum, its the first game that I beat and i spent too much time on it on post-game. Pokemon Sun would be my 2nd favourite and Black would be my third.

Overall, it's got to be Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky, but mainline game wise I'd have to say Heart Gold or Diamond!

black/white and black/white 2 for sure! those were the first games i picked up, and gen 5 is still my favorite :) 

For me it's the sun and moon games like all 4 since that's the ones I remember watching Stampycat play and some of my favorite Pokémon came from those games :3

Gens 1-5 and 7 are the only ones I'll ever play again 

Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Darkness was the first MD I played and it hit me like no other!  I have the best memories playing Ruby, thought until recently I considered Pokémon Black was my favorite until playing SoulSilver, I think its the most solid game overall!  I wish I had a Pokewalker to play along with it!  ^^  Getting walks with Sandslash <3

I May sound silly, but my favorite is pokemon shield. I just love the pokedex, IT'SNOT THAT UGLY, PEOPLE EXAGGERATES, and the characters are so cool. 

Definitely Legends Arceus for me. I'm really fond of Pokémon Black as well,  but yeah Arceus is the best for sure. I love that game. Every pokémon fan should play it imo.

I'd have to say SV. I love a lot of Pokémon games; maybe even all of them, but something about SV just does it for me. Specifically Violet.

Also GuauGuau I agree, Sword/Shield is beautiful!

HeartGold and SoulSilver! They are what I consider to be perfect remakes, and the definitive version of what Pokemon truly is. It has so much content, a ton of post game content, gameplay issues fixed from D/P, the GB Player, more lore about Silver/Giovanni, beautiful 2.5D graphics, beautiful spritework, and an iconic soundtrack! Words cannot describe how much I love these games and I could go on forever!

pokemon sun in the 3ds is definitely my favorite 

Gen 3 really has a massive soft spot in my heart. I played gen 1 and 2 when they were new, of course, but gen 3 was just something else. I was blown away by it. Gen 2 was very similar to 1, but I did love the fact that you could go back to Kanto. But the fact that gen 3 had so much new stuff. New graphics, reflections in water, running, double battles, diving... It felt like an entirely new era of Pokemon and I was loving every second of it. To this day, Emerald stays as one of my favorites ever.

Gen 5 is close, and then gen 6 close behind that. Both 5 and 6 were similar to gen 3 for me. Gen 5 had fully animated sprites, they didn't just do a little dance and then be static for the rest of the fight. Gen 6 moved to full 3D, gave us 3D movement, mega evolutions, etc. I recently (like last year) actually beat Pokemon Moon, and that was a lot of fun to go through, but it didn't really hit me as hard as previous gens did. After that, I feel like the games have gone downhill. SV was fun, but the Switch's hardware made the game just look bland and the frame rate issues just knocked me out of the immersion frequently. I'm REALLY hoping gen 10 on Switch 2 is way better.

HGSS is the best to me. I love the following Pokemon mechanic, as well as hearing how they redid the soundtrack compared to the original. They went SO HARD on the kanto gym leader theme omg! I also really like playing as Gold/Ethan, I'd love to cosplay him someday! I want dat hat
