any aspiring noise rock enthusiast should listen to Goat and Liar by the jesus lizard at least once. they were (and still are) hugely influential on artists within the genre and in punk in general.

Some other bands to check out:

Chat Pile (good modern sludge band that are getting better with every release)

Big Black (THE noise rock goats. calling yourself a "noise rock fan" and not listening or being aware of these guys is treason of the highest order)

Boris (japanese band that have done pretty much everything under the sun lmao, check out Pink and Feedbacker, both phenomenal albums)

Drive Like Jehu (more math rock than noise, still go hard as fuck though)

The Gerogerigegege (for the crowd who really like the noise in noise rock. Yellow Trash Bazooka is some of the most fun i've ever had listening to music)
