Somehow, it was Neil Cicierega (the man responsible for The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny and Potter Puppet Pals) with his Mouth Dreams album, which mashed the vocals of Owl City's 'Fireflies' with the instrumental of 'Closer'. Despite the single's immense popularity, I never really listened to 'Closer' aside from a brief snippet from some Misheard Lyrics video. Somehow that led to me listening to The Downward Spiral album in its entirety.

I found a box set in my dads old CD collection with all the albums and singles until some point in the 90s, not sure. First one I listened to was the Broken EP and I fell in love so I went and listened to the rest of the box set

stole shit from my dad and found a lot of kool music that way. rummaged through his CD shelf and found pretty hate machine:)

unfortunately found them through R&M back in 2016, HURT was featured in one of the episodes and i've been kind of hooked ever since, only really looked into them back in 2024 though
