15 for sure, i love open worlds, noctis is awesome, and the combat is super flashy and fun. 14 is an amazing game, but my social anxiety totally ruined it for me -- ik they're planning to make it more solo friendly, so maybe i'll pick it back up then.
i recently picked up the 7 remake and... god, all the characters look so good. bi nightmare

I'm the most normie FF fan ever but the games I have played are core parts of my identity at this point. My first game was X but VIIĀ has been my number one favorite for the past 16 years. Good memories growing up and I'm enjoying the remake so far.

ive been familiar with FF all my life but i never really tried playing it again after 9
im just too dumb for rpg games in general lol so when they introduced the hack 'n slash combat it kinda piqued my interest but still not quite there
i found myself contemplating playing 14 and 15 since yeah i might get overwhelmed and i feel like i dont give a crap much about the mechanics and deeper parts of the game
16 again piqued my interest since i love devil may cry and would love to try it out
i think yakuza perfected the balance of rpg and beat 'em up
it was really easy to get into and loved yakuza since
so hoping 16 would do the same

Played VII Remake a while ago and it got me real into the series. I've been trying to figure out which FF would be bestĀ after that, but from what I've seen none of the other games have the exact same type of gameplay. I might just play Xenoblade Chronicles DE at this point lol

IV and XII are my favorites. XIV was very good, played during vanilla and could say it's one of my favorite MMOs, still wish that XI was free then I'd be playing that again.

not going to lie, i'm honestly an mmo person. XIV is one of the best games i've played. I own a few dissidia titles, and never really got into them. kinda want to try the actual final fantasy games :)

I haven't played many, but XIV so far. (Can you tell I'm biased?)
XV was a great intro, the backstreet boys were an incredible gang to hang with.Ā
VII and its remake were pretty great too, but the first one aged like milk in some areas.
XIV picks up after beating the Ultimate Weapon. Post-Realm Reborn to Shadowbringers have some of the best JRPG stories in the last decade. In a god-damn MMO. This is the one game I'd pay a subscription for, and hey. It doesn't hurt that I've got an incredible FC.
That said, what do you guys think I should try next? I own VI, VIII Remastered, IX, X & X-2, XII and the XIII trilogy. And before you say XVI, I already plan on getting it solely based on the fact it's being developed by CBU III.

I love XIV but the other MMO, XI is underrated. Too bad it's also a sub or else I think more people would give it a try.
I like the whole franchise, though. I'm replaying all of them now (I'm on V).

XIV was absolutely a massive part of my life for a period of time, but at this point I am genuinely not sure how I even had space for it to be so. I do enjoy FF games but often finding the time to finish them is tricky. I guess that means X is my favourite since that's the one I managed to finish.

My golden favorite is IV. Well, it was II back in the day when I first played it, but it changed my LIFE. These days, I'd say my favorite is X. I love the story SO much!

I love all FF games! I've played and own every mainline game and most spin-offs.
My favorites are IV (my irl name is Kain!), VIII, XII, IX, and Crisis Core. XIII-2 is great too. tbh it's hard to pin just a few favorites because the whole series is great.
Of course, I regularly play XIV, and highly recommend it to anyone willing to play online. It's probably objectively the best modern FF title, has a wonderful supportive community and devs that genuinely care for their player base!

I am an old school fan.
Final fantasy 1 came out when I was in 4th grade.
I played them all. ff4 and ff6 over and over... Of course those were known as 2 and 3 here in USA way back when...
Ff7 epic ground breaking gameplay for its time in 1997...
ff8 meh, I played it ok... ff9 super cute nostalgic and modern for the time...
ff10 was special to me, Auron is one of my all time favorite characters in sthe entire series
ff11 was online, I didnt play
ff12 was awesome... Fran and Balthier are my next favorites...
ff13 didnt play, heard it was terrible... #sad Ā

My big time favorite is Final Fantasy VII, especially the remake! The plot is so awesome, and the the graphics for the remake are to die for. Can't wait for the part 2!!

Anyway FFX is definitely my favorite, closely followed by 9. FFX had such a thematically cohesive world / story / mechanic combination. Blitzball >>>>>>> other minigames (tho tetra master was really nice, wish there could be a standalone game for that)

My favorite has always been VI (III when it first released on the SNES). Kefka is a far better villain than Sephiroth ever was. After all, Sephiroth merely tried to destroy the world. That and you got to actually watch Kefka's progression towards becoming the villain he ultimately was.

For me is Final Fantasy VII
but Final Fantasy XIII is pretty amazing battle system though the gameplay so linear
and for Final fantasy XV is amazing open world gameplay and interesting story
