Both XIV and Stranger of Paradise go hard. XVI looks pretty good too, though I am disappointed it's a timed PS exclusive.

I'm a wee bit old school. VIII is probably my favorite as unpopular as the game is to everyone. I just loved the story a bit more than most of them. VI & VII are also up there for me too

ffxiv is my all-time favourite game and imo the best final fantasy game. if we're counting spinoffs, i also really like theatrhythm

Ik its basic BUT ff7 has a special place in my heart it connected me and my dad and i loved the whole thing and everything about it, but besides that I absolutely adore 8. and if we count spin offs World Of Final Fantasy Maxima is soooo god, i remember falling in love with it and waiting for months for it to go on sale and when i played it it was sooo fun.  FF 16 looks really intresting but idk if im gonna get it right away tbh

It's the FF that I grew up with. The remake is cool in its own way. I have a lot of feelings about that.
FF15 is my second fave because it's BROS GOING ON A ROADTRIP LETS GO

Next would be 10 because of the world building.

8 is a fever dream and I appreciate that in its own right.

But 16 is a bit... idk. I ain't feeling it, ngl.

How close is FF7-Remake Part 2 being from finished?

I was disappointed that they decided to make Kalm a desert town when it was originally on a grassland, while surrounding Midgar would be rocklands rather than deserts.

I'm always playing ffxiv, but 10 is very close to my heart! Also a fan of 8 and 9, still haven't completed 7 tho...

I just beat Crisis Core Reunion... That shit hurted. I had Crisis Core as a kid, and I really loved it but I never beat it. It was funny coming back and seeing it remastered like that. It was really good! It held up well, even though it was obviously a remaster of a PSP game lol. It was jank and the story was cheesy and so very 2000s-core. I loved Genesis interrupting Sephiroth's mental breakdown to try and make it about him. The climax was so sad too, that last battle was really genius.

Ah... but anyways, Final Fantasy, right? I've played 1-9 and 7R! My favorites are like 6, 7, 8 and 9. I wanna play the later games that I missed out on someday, but after beating Crisis Core I decided to replay 1. I wanna play through the whole series on my Steam Deck...

I've been playing a lot of FFXIV lately and it's super fun! trying to catch up with current patch quests right now :D

My first love will always be 9 but I have a fondness for most of the mainline entries. :3

My personal favorite is 3. I’ve been trying to (very) slowly work my way through them. I still need to complete 5, 6, 7 (actively working on this one), 8, 9, 10, and 12. 13 too if find a decent avenue to play it.

7 and 10 all the way, 9 was pretty good as well

I really can't wait for FFXVI, but I'll have to because I don't have a PS5 :(

Oh I love Final Fantasy! Tactics is my favorite and XIV is a very close second! It's literally so much fun and I wish I had more people to talk about it with!

ahhh I'm a new player of XIV but my dad has played every single game and I've watched him my favorite has to be X

I've been playing XIV for a while and I've been in love, it's effectively been the only game I've played all year. Started the series with XV after a lot of DLC and changes had come out and I quite enjoyed it. I also played both original VII and its Remake and I love them both. I've dipped my toes into XIII and it's aight. I've also played a smidge of X and it's interesting bu didn't hold my attention for long. Recently due to certain new updates in XIV taking heavy inspiration from IV, I've been playing its Pixel Remaster and I've found it quite endearing.

I've played way too much Final Fantasy. I've played through IV, V, VII IX and XV. (Been playing the MMO Final Fantasy XI for years and I'm still working my way through all of it's content.) I'm also a super fan of Final Fantasy Tactics, which I've beaten way too many times to count. 

FFVIII was my intro to Final Fantasy, so it's my forever fave. Brokenass Junction system and all.

FF 7R,13-2, and ff14 are my all time faves. The combat systems and aesthetics in those games are amazing. I never beat ff-12 but reading this reminded me I need to go back to it! I’m also still low key obsessed with versus 13 and watch the trailers and gameplay every now and then. 

FFX will always be my favorite. Will happily buy another copy for the latest console just to sink another 300+ hours grinding away to max out my stats and get the best weapons/armor. the FF7 Remake was extremely good, and playing through it on veteran mode is not easy to say the least.
