Please take a minute to introduce yourself and share a song or two that you made. Here are some pointers:

Who the heck are you?
  • Your name (how should we call you)
  • Your favored genre
  • Your influences

It's totally up to you how much you want to share.

To make the start, here's me:

Hey, my name is Jamie. I also go by SHINE MILEY.
I've started composing pieces on my piano some 15 years ago. Been producing for about 10 years. I started out in 2011 making orchestral pieces for my old YouTube channel. Then I did mainly EDM for a while. Now I make anything melodic that might lighten up your day. Usually it's some sort of electro pop.

I play the piano, though I rarely use it outside of experimenting with new chords and melodies. As my DAW I use FL Studio. I like to write lyrics too, but I'm not a good singer (kinda working on that).

So there you go. Now, here's a remix I made a little while ago. I usually make original songs but I kinda already spammed those tracks in my profile so I thought I'd go with this, even if it doesn't necessarily reflect the style I'm used to making.

Hey! My name's Nikita (Nick for short) and I've been doing music stuff on and off since I was little. I started with putting random default loops together when I was 10 on Soundation, and then eventually switched to Soundtrap when I was ~12. By 2019 I had switched over to FL. Despite working with stuff for years, I'm just a hobbyist and I don't really think I'm up to par with anything special. I also own a couple instruments but I don't really play any of them that often save for the ukulele.

Making my own melodies, I started out with more orchestral stuff. Eventually it switched over to jazz, then at some point things became more electronic? I like to write songs but I'm better at VGM type stuff. I also like to recreate instrumentals that don't have a karaoke version in my spare time (especially if I prefer that style of the instrumental). For songs I write, I usually opt for using a VOCALOID since they're the most accessible tool to me (my voice never fits and I can't record it well anyway). I've been curious about other vocal synthesizers, though!

ZUN is and always will be a pretty big inspiration for me musically, but the influence isn't always apparent (thankfully!). I post new stuff through my bulletins when I feel like it, but here's something I put together pretty recently:

  • Hello, I'm Chester. But my musical name is Tandy 1000. I'm a new producer who has been doing it since (I think) 5 years ago. I got the idea of being a producer because of my cousin who made a very initial dubstep track.
  • I REALLY like House and Techno stuff, more specifically I LOVE French House (but I'm not french so I can't produce that ), so some of my music will have repetitive loops or a lot of synths if I'm feeling like it.
  • People like Daft Punk, Gaspard Auge and HOME have inspired me to keep going, while my music sounds so FAR from them I still keep them as examples to be really.
  • I don't really have any background with instruments, I have a learning keyboard that I barely use since I do everything digitally anyway.
  • I'm REALLY amateur/undergound, and I kinda want to keep it underground because I hate attention.
  • Initially, I started full-on with FL Studio. But at the time I had cracked it so when I reinstalled my computer I couldn't install it again, so looking for an alternative I stumbled upon the free software LMMS. I've used LMMS for the longest in my career and even though it's libre, I think it's par with most DAWs out there.

Sorry for being too short with my words :x
