howdy! i'm doc, i'm 25 and i've been playing ttrpgs since middle school. most of the games i end up being in are d&d 5e nowadays (such is the way of the world) but i'm in a myriad of other systems, which are all great fun. i'm a DM/game runner at heart, and while I love to play and explore the worlds of other people's campaigns, I enjoy running games for my players. i'm a warlock main through and through in 5e, but 3.5 rogues are my forever class.

Heya! I go by bread and I've been playing dnd on and off for a while. I'm currently in a Curse of Strahd campaign with my green dragonborn sorcerer Gimmeth. His family are followers of Tiamat and he is a runaway (he escaped after an initiation ritual as a child) so he is still fairly young.

I'm slowing building his character as I go, I find it pretty hard to rp as I have anxiety about interrupting people.

I've been GM'ing a continuous persistent-world campaign for 13 years and counting (with two big hiatuses between 2013 and 2015, and 2017 to 2019). I'm happy to be here!

I'm Dyno. I've fairly new to D&D (I'm only familiar with 5e14 and 5e24) but I've got a fair amount of experience. I've dabbled in DMing, but I want to wait a year or so before I DM more than oneshots.

Dyno, I've been playing for over forty years and still love and play 1e (though I've played 5e too).

Please DM a campaign! The world needs DMs! You're not Matt Mercer. You're going to suck (just like Matt Mercer did DMing his first campaign. Just like I did DMing my first campaign). 

But that's how you do it, and that's how you get better! Get ye four or five understanding friends who know you're a new DM and willing to help be your understanding players. Then PLAY!

Even just a basic understanding of how combat works, how spells work, and how to award experience and you're all set. All you need from there is imagination!

You're going to make mistakes. But even when you do, if your group is laughing and having a great time, the game is a SUCCESS. 

Do it! You're going to be amazing!

I play dnd in a group of 7 + dm. This is my second game since I started about an year ago. Honestly been one of the best decision of my life. We have played the game quite loosely and just roleplaying most of the time.

I am also gonna play game called dread in a couple of weeks. I have to research it since I know absolutely nothing about it.

I am interested in DM:ing, but im not quite ready yet since dnd is such a complex game. But i really love worldbuilding and making stories.

The current character I play is a Thiefling rogue whose name is Ikon. 

evildevil, the world needs more DMs. Dive in! The game is far less complex when you start by cutting away everything. You do not need to have every rule committed to memory, you only need to know the rules you'll need for the next session and build out from there. 

Gather some understanding friends, tell then you'd like to try DMing, but are new and will make mistakes, and they'll be kind and patient!

And you're going to suck. Every DM sucks at first. It's how you learn.

But if you do this, you're going to be wonderful!
