The number 1 emcee in the world is a position that can never really be filled even objectively, due to how much tastes differ.
Personally I'm into the densely packed lyrical collage MF DOOM paints in all of his projects, but im EXTREMELY biased. Like beyond belief biased. Cuz DOOMs music is what taught me how to rap and what hiphop meant to me.

That's a very hard choice, I am just not able to pick just one (so I'll name some contenders):
Immortal Technique, Canibus, Vinnie Paz, R.A the Rugged Man, Tech N9ne, Chino-XL, Kxng Crooked (Crooked-I), Ras Kass, Ill Bill, Rakim, Nas, KRS-One, Scarface, K-Rino, Cage (Sam Hill), Joel Ortiz. . .Just to name a few.
