My hardware is old and slow, aswell as due to windows updates. My laptop only had like 4 gigs of hardrive space, max.

Got tired of windows and wanted something different. So far it's better at gaming with a little coaxing, doesn't have all the bloat... and my favorite feature, the absolute creative freedom on the platform.

I was done with Microsoft's shit. I was tired of having them spy on everything I do, and I especially hated everything that Windows 11 stood for. Apple was off the table, hate those cunts too, so Linux was my best option. I'm glad I switched!

In my case, I use Linux for work related stuff, but also for confort and ease of use. I hate the direction that Windows is going taking out all the privacy stuff (the UI is extremely inconsistent, administration is awful)
Linux is way faster and lighter on resources, my laptop doesnt even turn on the fans. I also find the KDE DE to be beautiful (although a bit buggy and a tad battery heavy)
