What game engines do you use?

Hello!
As the subject says, what game engines do you use and like?
My personal favorite is the Godot engine since I'm a huge fan of anything in the free/open source realm, but it's also a solid game engine without considering that. One unique feature I like is the animation system, and I also look forward to the updated tilemap editor in the upcoming 4.0 release.
I've also been using Unity for some recent projects since I've been taking a game development course that requires Unity. It's definitely still a solid engine in my opinion, not sure how much more I can say since I have less experience with it.

Hello,

I've been using mainly Unity for 8 years and really like it but for the last few years it feels like it's been a bit neglected and left behind.
Recently i tried Godot and while i absolutely love the way it works i haven't done enough to judge how well it's suited for professional use.
Haven't gotten around to trying it, but one I'm really curious about is epic's new UE5, have you seen the matrix tech demo?, I need a bucket for my drool!

I've used GameMaker on and off for over a decade, GodotEngine for a couple years, UE4 for 6 months, RPG Maker VX ace a little mostly scripting for a friends game ....

So far my worst experience with any engine has been UE4 just for the performance and any poor scripting with blueprints and or broken references seems to crash the engine very easily... Not sure if UE5 would be any better for me or just using C++... but whatever reason removing C++ clases is a big pain in the but, so really turned off by UE4 but still plan on using it for a project maybe or future ones.. BluePrints are neat to mess with despite it's issues...

Sucks after a decade feels like nothing I made is good, I feel confident for problem solving technical issues just putting together something fun I stink at

Of the big, popular engines I've mostly used Twine, or rather Tweego. Works great for text based RPGs, or computerized gamebooks as I like to call them. Also tried Ren'Py, and Love2D (I know, they're not alike), but it didn't work out long-term. Frankly, most of my games are custom-coded. I did make my own graphics engines; one flopped, the other is a success and I plan to use it more.

I use unity and unreal. I've been trying to follow some unity tutorials but they're all outdated and are missing parts so its really put me off of using unity. Unreal 5 looks amazing but I haven't used it much. I haven't tried any other game engines.

Hey! I've been basically only using Game Maker 8/.1/Studio, and while I've been trying to learn Unity and just C# in general, it's more of a side thing for me since I think I'm just fine staying on GM.

Godot definately, it's just so much nicer to use than any other game engine.

i studied game development and learned using unity, but i'm most comfortable within clickteam. i know it's kind of got a stigma thanks to fnaf but it's still my favorite engine. i'm also familiar with rpg maker but i've gotten a bit rusty with it.

I use Godot, but recently installed Game Maker. I wanna try to make something small with it to see how Toby Fox does it, (I heard his coding in Undertale was Yanderedev bad.)

I've dabbled with Unity and Godot, and I used Game Maker on and off for about 9 years. But currently I'm just using Java, I don't even know why, I just love the language and how it works.
