If you really want to experience a decentralized, old-school Internet, then you should check out Gemini.

It's a different protocol than the web. You need a Gemini browser to read Gemini sites. It's like a cross between the modern Web and the old Gopher protocol.

im currently working on my gemini capsule. I signed up for a tilde site for free hosting so i don't have to setup everything myself and all i have to worry about is just writing the gemini pages.
