we need to stop putting rap songs in movies that dont need rap songs. its bad enough that movies arent shot on film & theyre all digital. but every soundtrack for every movie now has to have these terrible rap songs & it is a trend that needs to die. please.

Most modern day rap/hip-hop sucks major balls. Everything is about the same shit and nobody gives a shit about quality bars anymore. Now this is not to say that all artists are bad! Some artists are good it's just that it's mainly those who've been around for YEARS. I'm talking from 2009-today. THE NEW ARTISTS ARE THE ONES WHO SUCK BIG TIME. Any new artist who came out after 2020 is ASS on ASS. Plus some good artists. (Like Tyler the Creator, Tierra Whack etc.) Keep getting snubbed BIG TIME to the point where it's irritating. And yet you have motherfuckers out there who are straight up WILLING to give an AWARD to peeps like sexxy red. One more time for the people in the back SEXXY RED. ( I'M LOOKING AT YOU B.E.T!!!!You've got to be kidding me.) That's why everybody should just go back to listening to rock or hiphop from 80s-2010s!!!! 

CG5 isn't that bad (sometimes). He's just trying to make money off of trends I guess, and those songs aren't that good imo, but his old music goes hard. Also I think nerdcore needs more appreciation... Like LongestSoloEver has some bangers

Idk if this is an unpopular opinion but I feel like we only really talk about a handful of specific artists/genres (on here, online, and outside on news channels/radio). Which makes sense cause like yea they're great for a reason but there's also A LOT A LOT MORE music genres/artists than the same ones that are talked about.

ALSO I feel like a lot of people say they love everything and any kind of music but really do not

falling in reverse should have never got as popular as they did. ronnie sadke radke's vocals are grating and too whiny to be enjoyable, the instrumentals are cookie cutter metalcore and don't do anything interesting with the genre, plus the hip hop segments in some of their songs take the absolutely garbage "lyrical spiritual miracle/rhyming is everything" approach to rapping, which is very clearly just trying to imitate eminem and his entire point in hip hop.

Social media ruined music. all genres. Now, theres definately some bands that still make music because they want to create something and want to make music, especially in punk and metal scenes. but most artists now, EXPECIALLY pop artists just make music to get a hit single and get a month where its the only song on a radio. I think pop and rap are ruined as genres, and punk and metal genres have been tainted. All pop now is just breathy words with a upbeat song in the background. maybe i blame britney spears lolz.  No joke, any fuckin pop song they play on the radio sounds exactly like that, no actual POP like madonna, cyndi lauper, or tiffany. Before you say "its just different time periods and decades" fuck off, my mind just went straight to 80s pop for some reason, but pop is completely ruined. same exact thing with rap, ITS ALL FUCKING MUMBLING... i dont even consider it rap at this point.... mumbling about drugs and fucking hoes over a beat doesnt make it rap, which is ever fucking current rap song. and all the beats are so unoriginal and all the same... or every song is just sampeling off another song, which can be very creative, and it used to be, but now its basically just a cover of the goddamn original song. With punk and metal genres and scenes, i think alot of it has been tainted bc of social media, and dont even get me started on tiktok punks. i hope that app burns... anyway. I think alot of bands now are just focusing on making the hardest thing possible, or trying to do something never done before which just makes it shitty. rant over, sorry this shit is so long and good job if u even made it this far.
