Ironically Facebook where someone in a group im in called 90's 2000s throwback group posted an Article about MySpace is back but not in the way you think. I Clicked on the article because MySpace was a huge part of my Teen life back in 2006-2012 for me. so I checked it out and saw the layout and stuff and immediently was nostalgic. but I wasn't sure about making an account yet.

I founded it by a news article on Either by Vice or Independent. I remember Myspace by my Older Brother and Sister who use to have them. I had one but I made and I never used it. So decided to make a Spacehey account and I told many of my friends and boyfriend to make their own and Follow me!

I was watching a video on the history of MySpace (The Punk Rock MBA if you're curious) and I was telling my girlfriend "I kinda wish I was on that at the time." She told me about this website because she watches a lot of "alt-community" YouTubers who were talking about it.

I heard about it from someone on Waterfall (site that works similar but better to tumblr, with better moderating). I never really got the MySpace experience back when it was really big so I figured that I'd try this out to meet some new folks.

My friend Ari found it and freaked out because they LOVED myspace back in the day. Posted it in the group chat. Eventually I decided to get one too.

I first had a FriendProject account that I heard of via YouTube and while that site is awesome as well, it has extra features that you have to pay for to become a premium member or something like that and that aspect is a little off-putting if you ask me. Also, the general activity on there has waned somewhat since I first made an account (spring 2018) but recently one of my friends on there asked what people's opinions on Spacehey was and they told me it was another recreation of the classic MySpace and that had me intrigued so that's basically how I ended up here. I made my account yesterday and I love it so far! It feels like meeting up again with an old friend you haven't seen in forever and it also feels like coming back home to that good old MySpace feel! I'm excited for the future of Spacehey and also for the groups feature to be added, I used the groups on old MySpace a lot and I can see myself using the groups (and making some of my own) on Spacehey too when that feature gets implemented.
