i was just looking for a social media that fit my interests and found this while searching the web

I was watching a deep dive in the scene subculture cause Ive been hyperfixated on like the subculture as a whole and I knew myspace was huge when scene and emo were most popular in the 2000s (13 year old me was so sad I couldn't make a myspace when I first learned Abt it) and the video I was watching started going into the revival of scene and she mention this site and I've been living here for the past couple days since :333

I found this site a year ago through a friend's DM on Discord, on July 25th, 2023. Sometime after I signed up, I took an 8 month long break from the platform. When I got back, I remember being extremely amazed at the level of customization people had with their profiles, and I still am to this day. How did I not find SpaceHey sooner? This place is so sick!

Time has passed extremely fast, too... Dang.

i actually learned about it through a twitter thread about how uncustomizable social media is now!

Was bored at 12 AM looking for an app similar to Discord but broader in forums like Reddit! The customization aspect of this website kept me here, and I love the forums :3.

I googled 'retro social media' since I'm tired of all the flat corporate designs lol.

I've been sick of facebook for a long time and decided to look up substitutes for Myspace, which was far more enjoyable. several people on reddit reccomended this!

i've known about spacehey a lot longer than i've had my profile for. (i have logged out accounts lmao.) my mom used to code on myspace and was just a huge fanatic of it (i mean who can blame her, it was the shit.) i was just a young child when i would sit with her and she would code and code and interact on it. later on, she had discovered spacehey and had told me about it. since i was young and i missed out on myspace, i thought i'd see what it was all about and i'd join this revival. and now i'm obsessed, boom. 

(it's so interesting reading about everyone else's stories, makes me realize how lame mine is LMAO)

I was on straw.page looking through other users designs to make my own homepage thingy that'll link to all my accounts and one users page linked to this site. Curious, I clicked the link and I immediately dropped everything to start my spacehey journey.

Someone on Threads about a month ago posted about how the site crossed it's user registration milestone - which ended up on my Feed,  so that's how I ended up joining. I usually explore and beta test any app or site that seems interesting.

A friend told me about it! I decided to join straight away because I never had the chance to have a MySpace account, and I thought this was just as cool

I saw about it in tik tok and I liked this atmosphere so much, I love 2000e!

Don't recall exactly, probably saw something on Threads. I missed the vibe of my high school and early college years, so figured I'd take a look. Pity the nostalgia can't bring back the lack of back and knee pain and zero-fibromyalgia from those years! 

But... maybe it'll spark some fresh music ideas, I had so many of them back then. I miss that spontaneous creativity.

i found out about spacehey around one or two years ago when i posted on a now-deleted twitter account i used to use, basically saying i wish there was a site like myspace as i never got to experience it, and the spacehey twitter account replied to me saying to check out spacehey, and ive used it ever since!! :D

I discovered SpaceHey on a Youtube video while scrolling through it. I found it very intersting and i got my Laptop and create a new account.In the first hour i was just confused but now i know what to do and what i can do.

Through Bluesky.  A friend posted something about the old internet coming back with stuff like neocities and as i scrolled down through the comments, someone left a link to this site saying it was the new MySpace.  It really does remind me a lot of that old site, right down to the themes and being able to play music on it! 

I saw a tiktok about it and sent it to my friend. She already had it for ages and told me to Dowland it too .
