Well, hello! I wasn't sure whether this topic would get views or replies because of antisemitism being on the rise but I'm glad there is someone out here like me. L'chiam!

Anybody got plans for Purim? It would be cool if I could find a Magilla reading on a zoom or a Facebook live or something. Not sure whether I'll dress up or anything but still something to do.

I can't get used to virtual meetings. It's too stressful and I don't do them when I don't really have to. Before the pandemic I used to go to Moishe House. But I don't think I can participate in the virtual lecture this year. It would make me too anxious.

I haven't tried to attend any virtual services yet. I left the schul I grew up in because the Rabbi was a scumbag and yet he is still employed for another 5.5 years per the contract.

A lot of the people in my weekly knitting group are Jewish and since Purim is on the 26th we are going to have a festive evening on the 25th with drinking and groggers.

Welcome! Do people have plans to gather for Passover? Not that I want to think about it. (I don't clean my house for it). I will have my second dose of the Moderna vaccine on 26th so I don't know how I will be feeling come seder.

hi! i was raised in a chabad community. my household was never strict though, my parents only became orthodox around my bat mitzvah and none of my other family are orthodox. i want to get into reconstructionism, humanism, and judaism-informed communalism as well :3

@sobb1ng: start by reading on My Jewish Learning, and then reach out to a local Rabbi to schedule up a meeting. The Rabbi will be able to direct you to more information, open up learning opportunities, and answer any questions. They'll also be able to give you a sort of overview on what the process looks like.
