Old Notifications

I don't know if it happens to anyone else, but occasionally I will click on a notification (I like to open in new page) and the page will not load. When you go back and try to click the notification again it gives you an error.

This wouldn't bother me to much if the notification stuck around for you to go back to and click again, but it doesn't.  And they could be from anywhere. A bulletin, a group, etc. So I have lost out on replies because I have no idea where the notification was even from. 

I would like to see either the option to have notifications stay, with unlimited amount of times you can go back and click the notification until you delete it, or a section that we can go and see all our old notifications.
