I'm a big fan of film photography and film developing and was wondering if there were any likeminded folks here!

i know this post is suuuper old, but i recently got into photography (in 2022) and back in september 2023 i got into a film photography class at my high school!! it's suuper fun and we shoot with the Pentax K1000, which many of them being ex-police cameras. the camera i shoot with is both the Minolta F15 BF from some time in the 90s, and the Canon SureShot 115 from 2005 i believe? i primarily use digital as it's cheaper and i have more digital cameras, but film still has a place in my heart <3

I shoot a lot on instant film, does that count? I used to shoot only on instax wide film, but recently I got a Polaroid I-2 and have been growing to really fall in love with Polaroid film too.
I also got this teeeeeny tiny polaroid camera, the polaroid go, that takes the smallest instant photos in the world atm, even tinier than instax mini! They are so incredibly tiny and it makes it really easy to keep a camera like that in my purse and just spontaneously shoot whenever :)
I have scans of some of my photos on my blog, I'm gonna try to add more soon

For me it's mainly because there's no element of having to re-take pictures over and over again. You can't really get a bad picture on film, even if it's a little under or over exposed or there's motion blur. Doing metering by hand is fun too. I have a Nikon F, an EM, and a $2 Kodak that all use 35mm film. This one is from the EM

Photography on film is a lot of fun))) In 2013 I bought myself a Zenith 3M camera, I bought a 30 frame color film. Carried it around wherever I could, taking pictures. But when I developed it - all the frames were backlit. Now I only take photos on my phone)) But the film will remain in my heart forever. I shot one of my first kisses on a film camera ^_^

Film photography is a beautiful and enduring art form. It offers a
tangible and nostalgic approach to capturing moments that digital
photography often can't replicate📷🎞️.

I really enjoy shooting 35mm film. The results are still incredible and I really enjoy the whole physicality and workflow. It's definitely more satisfying than shooting digital to me.

I love film photography! I have a small collection of cameras but I especially love using instant film. There's something so cool about watching them develop right in front of your eyes (and not having to use my college dark room or a developing service!)
Super expensive hobby, though :')

It's so fun and can unpredicatable sometimes, have some of my dads old equipment actually.
I develop only b&w by myself at the moment, don't have to worry so much about temp differences. I using all Ilford chemicals but I got Rodinal if I run out that stuff keeps well.
Mostly shoot black and white because such.
Equipment:
- Dads old Canon T70 with a Vivatar Zoom lens and teleconverter. It's seals are still good for a 36 year old camera.
- Canon AE7 with 50mm (back up camera)
- Minolta A7 (Maxxum/Dynax 7) with 35-80mm lens, its my main camera.
- Epson V550 Scanner
I do not have red filters to pop grain and contrast hence the ridiculus film speed.

For the past year or two I've had a growing interest in photography, more specifically the old school/physical stuff. I have a digital camera and a semi-busted camcorder that I adore, but more-so film is what I really like. Its kind of an expensive hobby nowadays bc between the camera itself, like a disposable fuji cam, and getting it developed, its already around $30! Even-so something about having physical memories that you forgot about until you have them in-person is so magical, nothing like taking pictures off your phone(even if phones do have amazing quality...).

Definitely, I'm also very fascinated to film photography for a long time. You can say it my passion. I've a technique to boost my photography to next level, it's nothing else just photo retouching. By photo retouching you can remove your photos any kinds of shooting fault as well as face blemish or strain.

Started with film (mostly Polaroid/instant), then shifted to digital for most of my teenage years, and came back to shooting almost exclusively on film for the past few years.
Also happen to work at a photo lab/camera shop as my day job which helps with getting stuff processed!
Current favourite gear is my Fuji GW690, but still have a couple Polaroids and 35mm cameras I work with.

Awesome to see so many film photographers here! I just got into last summer, first started with super8 movies but now I have a nice collection of analog cameras. I mostly shoot for fun, to capture physical memories and not worry about looking at the photo immediately!

I take Polaroids for fun. I wish I could find film for it cheaper, but I have 100 or so plus photos I've taken. I really am interested in analog photo manipulations more so than just standard shots.
