It used to be better back in the day, but Italy gave birth to some extremely fun hardcore bands.

They're kinda punk 101 here, but I see that sometimes my fellow punksters abroad don't know them and they are missing some nice stuff imho, hope you like them!

Highly recommend checking out Wacko for some tight Long Beach punk shit.

And this is more post-punk but still high energy, listen to Rendez Vous from France. Guys are a riot.

Pretty much everything 11pm records out of Richmond, VA has put out over the past year or so- Armor, Sniper Culture and Freon would be my recommendations.

I've been playing "Public Apology" by Electric Chair a ton recently, even though it was Innuendo's self titled cassette to have made the top of my "2020 earworms" when it came out right in the tail end of the year.

As far as recent stuff goes, I've been largely into a good deal of Russian noisecore/noisy hardcore of the past decade.

Also a huge fan of some of the weirder Aussie hardcore bands that came out on Cool Death Records last decade like Velvet Whip and Guttergods. Some other newer HC bands I love are Barcelona (weird angular but crushing rhythms), Disguise (truly brutal, tantalizing shit) and Black Dust (tuff-sounding oi-tinged blackout hardcore not unlike Drug Lust).

I front an experimental hardcore/noise rock band of my own called Blood Noize and most of our releases can be heard here: https://bloodnoize.bandcamp.com/

Digging Otoboke Beaver and Milk (Nagoya, Japan)...the clean guitar tone in the latter is boss.

I am Yoo-sook, I play all the instruments and do the vocals for my Nu Asian Black Metal band, Escapade To Serenity.

The music is a mix of black metal and metalcore influences, and draws heavily from bands such as Ramones, Catherine (the metalcore band), Crystal Lake, Burzum, and so many others!

A new song is coming on the 23rd of February and it is called 「Encounters at Shi Ting」

You can check the music and pages here:
