oh, a tough one. i gotta say american football lp 1 by american football.

it's a classic! really sad, always put me in the feels, not loud. great for crying in the middle of the night or when you really need to get things done, you can put on this album as your background noise on any occasion. and i swear i'm not a sponsor.
this is the album that made (and still makes) me listen to midwest emo more.

Here are a couple of Jams by my favourite band XTC.

Formed in Swindon, Wiltshire, England, UK in 1972, XTC got their start as a Glam Rock band called Starpark. They would later change their name to The Helium Kidz in 1974. Fast forward to 1976 when the band changed its name for the 3rd and final time to XTC. It was around that time, they changed their sound too.

By the late 70s, about 3 albums in, XTC found their signature sound: Eclectic Pop that combined influences from New Wave, Punk, Art Rock and Ska with lyrics that are very English. Because their sound did not fit into any mainstream standard, XTC were really not that popular (depending on who you talk to about them) but they had a large cult following both in The US and their native UK.

Here's some of their bestest songs

Day In, Day Out

Real By Reel (my favourite song by them)

Generals and Majors

and Senses Working Overtime

One of my most favorite Albums has to be Flower Boy from Tyler, the Creator. This album talks about so many topics but it does it so well. Other than the concept of the album, the lyrics and instruments itself sounds so good. Overall a good album, give it a listen if you ever feel bored or just remember this post out of no where, trust me, it's life changing.

Hellfire by Black Midi

this album has got to be my favorite album of 2022. it's like they took everything that made their past 2 albums great and expanded on it x10. the story building in it is also fantastic, especially in Sugar/Tzu, which tells the story of the boxing match of the century from the POV of a small child who snuck in to assassinate Sun Sugar, one of the boxers. the second half of the album has yet to grow on me but im sure it will in the future.

my number one album ever is

Ween - Chocolate and Cheese [explicit cover warning; underboob]

every song is awesome in its own way and still different from the rest. it really goes from a mexican ballad about murder to a poppy carnival song about HIV like nothing. highly recommend

Hey! Love - The Delfonics is so fuzzy and soulful and it makes me nostalgic for a time I’ve never even experienced. If you like slow R&B ballads you’d love this

And then on the other hand I like crunchy fast-paced drum noise that bursts my eardrums like Sr20det - BLKSMIITH. There is no in between

Also to the original poster, the batter pfp makes me so irrationally happy you have no idea !!!
